History:Początek strony

Few people remember that the Warszawa Wschodnia railway station received the award of the Warsaw Mister in 1969. For many years, subscribers of  “Życie Warszawy” daily distinguished the most beautiful buildings in Warsaw. In the course of the time, the former beauty disappeared - the building fell into decline, being one of the most neglected public buildings in Warsaw. In 2010, PKP S.A started a great renovation of the Warszawa Wschodnia Station. The most remarkable element of the station, namely the glass facade of the building from ul. Kijowska, was entirely refurbished. After the refurbishment, the building is spacious and bright and, first of all, clear and safe. It is not only a passenger-friendly place (there were over 2 million passengers in 2012), but also a place which is open to various cultural initiatives. At the Warszawa Wschodnia station, exhibitions and concerts are successfully organised.
